Your Daily Ramblings are simply a place to spill a few unstructured pages
every day for four weeks. That’s it. No rules, no prompts, no “today we journal
about our inner child” nonsense. The only real goal is to kickstart your
Emotional Gratitude Response before you put pen to paper. Not just thinking
about gratitude — actually feeling it in your chest, in your throat, in that little
wobble right before your eyes water.
For most of us (myself included), the easiest way to get there is to watch a
short video of someone showing genuine, raw gratitude toward another
human. That moment where someone thanks another person in a way that
cracks your heart open? That’s the sweet spot. If you can get yourself into
that emotional space just by imagining something, great — but for me, the
signal I’m looking for is ‘positive crying.’ Or at least that pre-cry feeling
where your heart is three seconds away from leaking… BUT only from
something uplifting.
I’ve made it stupidly easy for you — scan the QR, choose the video that hits
you in the feels, and for the love of your sanity, close the app before the
algorithm drags you into the cesspool of social media. The moment you feel
that emotional shift, start writing. Anything. Whatever is sitting on your heart.
You’re not trying to write “about gratitude” — you’re just writing.
These Morning Ramblings have a bit of the same spirit as Julia Cameron’s
The Artist’s Way. Unstructured. Free. No pressure. If you want her full process,
go Google it — it might genuinely help. But here, we keep it simple: get into an
emotionally positive space, and then write freely. Some days it’ll be
mundane. Other days it’ll be so unexpectedly profound that you’ll wonder
where the hell that version of you has been hiding.
Below are two things I wrote recently to give you an idea of what your own
ramblings might look like.
